World Elder Abuse Day 2018 Celebrated in Hopkins County

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 2018 was celebrated today by the Hopkins/ Muhlenberg Elder Abuse Council in downtown Madisonville. The council along with several community partners came together and bagged over 250 large bags of food that was collected during May – Older American’s Month. In recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, on Thursday, June 15, 2017, the Hopkins/Muhlenberg Elder Abuse Council met at the old courthouse square in Madisonville, KY to bag food items collected during the month of May for local seniors.
