PeADD Announces More Than $2.4 Million Investment From Delta Regional Authority To Grow Local Communities
HOPKINSVILLE, KY, October 29, 2024 – Pennyrile Area Development District (PeADD) is delighted to announce an investment in the Pennyrile region of more than $2.4 million from the Delta Regional Authority’s (DRA) Community Infrastructure Fund (CIF). CIF provides direct investment into community-based projects that address flood control, basic public infrastructure, and transportation infrastructure improvements and aim to strengthen local economies from the grassroots level, fostering more resilient and healthier communities.
In the Pennyrile region, Lyon County Fiscal Court was awarded more than $2.4 million for a public infrastructure project that will combine three separate water projects among water districts serving Lyon County to increase the reliability and resilience of the water supply. This is essential to supporting local industries, enhancing quality of life, and promoting economic development within the region.
PeADD serves as the front-line project manager to ensure community-relevant project development and investment while emphasizing job creation, regional collaboration, and funding partnerships in the region.
