DRA Awards Pennyrile Area $2.6 Million for Six Projects
The Delta Regional Authority (DRA) and Governor Andy Beshear, together with their federal and local-based partners, awarded funds to six projects in the Pennyrile Area Development District.
The City of Greenville received funding for wastewater infrastructure improvements in the amount of $1,094,800. This project will provide improvements to the Powderly wastewater treatment plant to provide adequate wastewater treatment services for existing and future businesses and residents.
The Todd Regional Water Commission was awarded funds to update its primary intake backup generator to improve services to the approximate 27,408 families it serves.
The City of Madisonville received funding to construct a 22,000 square foot hangar at the Madisonville Regional Airport to accommodate an aviation training program through Madisonville Community College.
The Trigg County Hospital was awarded $105,000 to renovate its medical facility to create additional patient rooms and staff facilities to improve its medical services.
Helping Hands Health Clinic Inc., dba Blount Health Care received funding in the amount of $42,000 to purchase equipment for an additional general dentistry workstation located in the City of Elkton.
Hopkins County Fiscal Court received $155,500 in funds to add five broadband communication sites to improve broadband services to the residents and businesses of the southern portion of Hopkins County.
