PADD Board of Directors October 2018 Monthly Meeting
The PADD Board of Directors met on Monday, October 8, 2018 in Hopkinsville, KY. Federal and State Reports were provided by Amelia Wilson(Congressman James Comer), Rebecca Rittenhouse (DLG), and Rep. Walker Thomas. Staff reports were provided by Craig Morris, Amanda Stokes and Sheila Clark.
Guest speaker Ms. Juva Barber, Executive Director, Kentuckians for Better Transportation, gave a slide presentation highlighting statistics from air, rail, road, transit and water modes of transportation that drive Kentucky's economy. The transportation network faces challenges in maintaining infrastructure for the future which requires investments/funding of more than $5M per year. The Kentucky Infrastructure Coalition supports the long-term, sustainable funding mechanism that provides adequate revenues for all modes of transportation.
Jason Vincent, PADD Executive Director, expressed appreciation to all those who made the 30th Annual Pride of Pennyrile Industry Event a success and provided information regarding the upcoming Complete Count Training on October 22, 2018 from 11am to 2pm at the PADD Office. In observance of Veteran's Day, the November 12th PADD Board of Directors meeting will be canceled.
