PADD Board of Directors September Monthly Meeting
The PADD Board of Directors held their monthly meeting on Monday, September 12, 2016 at the PADD Office in Hopkinsville. Federal and State reports were provided by Marti Wiles, Senator Mitch McConnell, Jason Hasert/Senator Rand Paul, Emily Taylor, TVA and Katie Moyer, DLG. Several PADD staff reports were presented including Water/Wastewater Updates and Call for Projects, Eclipse Planning, Participant Directed Services and Home & Community Base Waiver, Workforce WorkReady certifications, Hiring Heroes, job fairs and Right of Choice program. The Board re-appointed Christian County Judge Executive Steve Tribble and Crittenden County Citizen Member Bart Frazer as the board representatives to the Kentucky Council of Area Development Districts. Jason Vincent, Executive Director, announced the resignation of Mayor Frank Stafford, City of Mortons Gap and welcomed Chris Phelps who was appointed as Mayor by City Council on September 8th. Mayor Phelps stated he is honored to be appointed to fill the unexpired term of Mayor Stafford and he will continue to support efforts for the betterment of Morton’s Gap and the Pennyrile Region. On Mayor Stafford’s behalf, he expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the PADD Board of Directors, PADD Staff and Legislators.
