2021 Forgotten Angels Project
FORGOTTEN ANGELS is a GO for 2021
What an unforgettable year and a half we have all had! So, let’s get to some enjoyment and FUN!! The Forgotten Angels Project is back on track this year for our 15th year. We serve residents in “Personal Care Homes”. They are usually younger and sometimes suffer with mental illness rather than physical limitations. We focus on this group of residents because they seem to be most forgotten by friends, family and society.
You may be asking “How does this work?” We ask residents for one wish, $25.00 and under. We place the Forgotten Angel on the tree anonymously. People from the community come to the PADD office and obtain a Forgotten Angel (or several) off the tree. Due to Covid restrictions, we have placed the tree in the outer lobby and keep the area sanitized for the public’s safety. You can also call or email us and we can send angels to you.
The Stocking Stuffer list is on the back of this letter. Most of our residents love snacks. Stocking Stuffers are generally all sorts of snacks, stationary, socks, gloves and personal hygiene items. Many people load a large Christmas bag full of these extra goodies along with the personal wish requested and return it to the PADD office where all the gifts are bagged by PADD staff and volunteers. Some people choose to bring in donations from the list or make monetary donations. We ask that all gifts be returned, unwrapped, to the PADD office, no later than
Wednesday, December 15th, 2021.
As the holiday season approaches, we hope that you will help us provide a touch of joy to those in need. It is truly amazing to see how our community gets involved in giving so much to these Forgotten Angels. Each year as the donations begin to pour in, I remain stunned at your generosity. I am very proud to be a part of this community and look forward to serving our Forgotten Angels in 2021 with your help. To adopt an angel or if you have any questions please contact:
