November 2018 is National Caregiver Awareness Month

November is National Family Caregiver Awareness Month, where caregivers are acknowledged for the care they provide. In the United States, more than 60 million caregivers are providing care to someone who is ill, disabled, or aging. In 2000, the Older Americans Act was amended to include the National Family Caregiver Support Program (NFCSP). It funds a range of supports that assist family and informal caregivers to care for their loved ones at home for as long as possible. For further information about this program or other programs available through the Pennyrile Aging and Disability Resource Center, please call 1-866-844-4396 or 270-886-9484.November is National Family Caregiver Awareness Month, where caregivers are acknowledged for the care they provide.
