Elderly residents of the Pennyrile have a host of services available to assist with their special supportive and nutritional needs through the efforts of Aging Services at the Pennyrile Area Development District. Senior centers are currently operating in all nine counties, with supportive services provided there and in clients' homes. Congregate meals are provided at the centers, and for those unable to participate at the site, home-delivered meals are distributed.

Jill is responsible for the overall planning, development and implementation of aging programs and other related services for the Area Agency on Aging. This inlcudes developing the Area Plan, Request for Proposal for service procurement, and contract oversight. Jill also completes administrative monitoring with contractors and provides training to contractor staff. She is available to speak to civic groups and other agencies regarding program services upon request.

Amanda is responsible for monitoring all senior centers, adult day care centers, implementing nutrition guidelines and menu planning. She provides staffing services for the Aging Council which includes the scheduling of quarterly programs and annual training, and serves as part time ombudsman and coordinates public ourtreach events. She is available for speaking engagements upon request.

Randa Ramsey - Long Term Care Ombudsman (LTC)

Randa acts as an advocate for long-term care and group family home residents by investigating and resolving complaints received and assists the Long Term Care Advisory Council. Randa also recruits, trains and supervises certified volunteers and friendly visitors.

Bruce Carver - In-Home Services Manager

Bruce is responsible for the day to day oversight of the case management services and Family Caregiver Program. Bruce is the initial point of contact for all new client referrals for in home services and maintains the master referral list for Home Care services. He participates in the overall program planning for all in home services, and arranges required training for case managers.

Angela Gore - Administrative Assistant

Angela provides administrative support to the Aging staff. She maintains the mailing directory for numerous councils and committees, attends and takes minutes for all aging committee meetings. She also prepares correspondence and is responsible for the daily maintenance of the Home Care Client charts. Angela also provides data entry for the Serv Tracker client tracking system.

PADD Aging Program Case Managers
Home Care Case Managers assess elderly individuals referred by the In-Home Services Manager. Those who are eligible become clients and are scheduled for available services provided by one of the local Senior Centers. Case Managers continue to monitor the client at least monthly to ensure that appropriate services are delivered. Clients are re-assessed semi-annually to determine that services are suitalble even if the clients needs change.
