Brewco Marketing Group to expand operations in Muhlenberg County

FRANKFORT, Ky. (July 19, 2016) – Brewco Marketing Group, a Central City based experiential marketing agency, will grow its footprint in Muhlenberg County with 18 new jobs and a $600,000 investment, Gov. Matt Bevin announced today.

“Brewco has become a permanent fixture at NASCAR and other major events in recent years, and it’s encouraging to see the company expanding its operations in the Commonwealth,” said Gov. Bevin. “This project, bringing 18 new jobs in addition to the 10 committed to last year, promises to make a long-lasting positive impact on the Central City community. We are thankful to Brewco for this investment and look forward to our continuing partnership. ”

Due to recent and anticipated growth, Brewco’s construction plan involves two phases. Phase I will repurpose 2,500 square feet of an existing warehouse into administrative offices. Phase II will add an 8,500-square-foot production facility to the company’s campus.

Brewco plans to hire 18 full-time employees for its fabrication shop, front office and touring programs. The company also plans to purchase new equipment to accommodate additional clientele, including the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame.

“We have been fortunate to have a team of skilled craftsmen that can meet the demands of some of the most recognizable corporate names in the world including McDonald’s, General Motors, Swedish Match North America, Compassion International, Kohler, Kimberly-Clark and General Mills, to name a few,” said Shane Kennedy, president and general manager of Brewco. “With the help of our existing client base and our new clients coming on board in 2017, we are poised for significant growth, necessitating us to grow our workforce, expand our facilities and purchase additional equipment to meet the growing demand for our products and services.”

Brewco creates unique and memorable brand experiences, placing products directly in the hands of target audiences through customized marketing campaigns. Brewco has quickly become one of the leading experiential marketing agencies in the nation, with a strong client portfolio.

Founded in 1997, the company grew from a Kentucky-based NASCAR team to a national force in the growing experiential marketing arena with facilities in Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee. The company currently employs a total of 147 people across all areas of operation.

Sen. C.B. Embry, of Morgantown, thanked Brewco for its investment and said he expects the expansion to be a boon to the community.

“As a returning investor in Kentucky jobs, I thank Brewco for its continued interest in our state,” Sen. Embry said. “I welcome Brewco’s expansion of its Central City operation and look forward to the new opportunities brought to the region.”

Rep. Brent Yonts, of Greenville, said Brewco has been a great corporate partner to Muhlenberg County for years.

“Brewco Marketing Group has been a great asset to our community, and this latest news comes as no surprise, given its success over the years,” said Rep. Brent Yonts, of Greenville. “Its work has also been the catalyst for other economic development projects in the area, further proof of its positive impact. I want to thank its leaders for investing even more, and I’m proud our state and local governments could play a role in creating these jobs.”

Central City Mayor Barry Shaver said the project highlights Brewco’s dedication to the community.

“The city of Central City is excited to hear of the expansion of our local Brewco Marketing facility,” Mayor Shaver said. “The need for increased storage expansion shows their dedicated and hard-work efforts have paid off for this ever-growing business, which will include upwards of 18 new employees. (This is) a proud day for Central City and Muhlenberg County.”

Muhlenberg County Judge-Executive Rick Newman commended Brewco for its contribution.
“It is exciting to know Brewco Marketing is expanding their business in our county with the addition of another facility,” Judge Newman said. “Anytime you can add 18 new jobs to your existing workforce it is a welcome sight. We commend Brewco Marketing for all they do and have done to contribute to Muhlenberg County’s economy.”

To encourage the investment and job growth in the community, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) preliminarily approved Brewco in late February for tax incentives up to $480,000 through the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based incentive allows a company to keep a portion of its investment over the agreement term through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments by meeting job and investment targets.

In addition, Brewco can receive resources from the Kentucky Skills Network. Through the Kentucky Skills Network, companies are eligible to receive no-cost recruitment and job placement services, reduced-cost customized training and job training incentives. Last year, the Kentucky Skills Network trained more than 84,000 employees from more than 5,600 Kentucky companies.
